The year 2021 has a lot in store for iCAN! To kick off the start of the year, iCAN partnered with DigiKnowIt News with two focus group sessions where iCAN's teens and parents were able to share their thoughts on the recently revamped DigiKnowIt News website about participating in pediatric clinical research. The event which was held on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 was a smashing success for both iCAN and DigiKnowIt News. Youth and parents from around the world were able to provide insight to help make the information about participating in pediatric clinical research as helpful as possible. iCAN Youth Member, Kalee from KIDS Georgia shared her enthusiasm during the teen focus group session. Explained Kalee,"I did this a year ago on the first website and I am so excited to participate in the DigiKnowIt focus group, especially to see the changes from the first advisory panel!" Kalee and the 10 other youth panel attendees, including a second session with parents only, helped to create a more robust and kid/family friendly website focused on clinical research.
