ANAHEIM, Ca - The International Children's Advisory Network, Inc. (iCAN) is heading west to visit the the American Academy of Pediatrics National Conference and Exhibition (AAP NCE). This special, once-a-year event, is a return after two years of virtual conferences due to COVID-19. For 2022, iCAN will be once again in person and sharing the voice of the young person within science, medicine, technology and innovation to doctors, researchers, scientists and other stakeholders from around the world under the AAP theme of "Better Together."
From October 7th - 11th, 2022, iCAN will be hosting a booth (see iCAN at #2034) for everyone to visit and stop by. In partnership with the Pediatric Trials Network and Duke Clinical Research Institute, iCAN will be engaging with attendees to gather quotes on "Why is Clinical Research Important?". The individual responses will be shared through a newly created Anthology designed to provide families, doctors and researchers with real-life understanding to the importance of supporting clinical research trials for pediatric patients (and their families).
For anyone unable to attend and would like to participate, iCAN is still accepting anthology submissions through January 30th, 2022. Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Kids, Community Members: If you could go back in time and tell yourself what you know now about your medical experiences, what would you say?
