At iCAN, everything we do is for the kids. We believe that our chapters are the heart of our community. Chapters are where young minds come together to provide the patient voice in healthcare, clinical trials, research, advocacy, and science. 

Joining iCAN means new opportunities for kids to share their voices locally and to amplify our collective voices to be heard by industry, thought leaders, decision makers, and each other.

Joining or starting a chapter is easy and highly rewarding, and it doesn't cost anything.

Most chapters are associated with a hospital, although some are not. Chapters have 10-50 kids who meet about once a month.

In addition to research, surveys, and activities that iCAN sends out to gather our kids ideas and voices for our industry and community partners, chapters participate in activities with local hospitals and universities. Chapters may bring in speakers, visit a museum, or participate in volunteer activities. The specific activities are up to the local chapter, but you can get ideas from our website, other chapters, and at the annual iCAN Summit.
