iCAN Research joined forces with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) at their 2018 National Convention and Exhibition (NCE) to share information about the many ways that youth members can share and enhance the pediatric healthcare experience.
This year, our team of youth members, participated in meetings with Industry Leaders to provide insight on topics such as;
* School Safety
* Disaster Preparedness Planning
* Youth to Adult Transitioning
* 2019 iCAN Research & Advocacy Summit
* Youth Voice in advocacy
Industry Leaders were amazed by the collective volume of expertise that our team of iCAN youth were able to share with all. As the team of youth gathered on the final day, AAP leaders were encouraged and reminded of the shared values that our groups bring - especially with the strong belief that kids deserve the best medicine.
iCAN continues to look forward to many more interactions and future projects with the AAP.
