Exoskeleton is Exactly What Cerebral Palsy Kids Need

Able-bodied KIDS Georgia member, Cooper West, tests the set-up and protocol of a robotic-assistive exoskeleton at Georgia Tech before the test is performed with children with Cerebral Palsy (CP). CP is considered a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child's brain is under development. CP primarily affects body movement and muscle coordination. With the help of West, researchers hope to build an exoskeleton that can help kids with CP walk easier in the future.
